calldoctoday Yep that makes 10 slabs for me so far. All of these are cut in half lengthwise (snout to tail) as that is the way I get them from the local store.

wdaly looks great. On a side note, my folks had the same pattern on their plates when I was growing up. Seeing your plate made me smile. Thanks

kyle Those plates were given to us by my mother-in-law. Don’t remember how many years we’ve had them but they hold up pretty nice.
-
kyle that’s funny my wife grew up using the same plates. She started collecting then a few years ago. I bet she has every pyrex bowl and Corelle dish made in the pattern or close to it. I think it turned into an obsession

WVTim some of the old dishes like that are becoming collectable and worth some money. I personally enjoy the memories over cash.

kyle I agree, when my parents passed away, I kept a couple of dishes that sit in my wife’s China cabinet. One was an old coffee cup my dad always used. Brings back good memories when I look at them.

Yesterday was a good day for canning, temps dropped to single digits and 5" of new snow.

Steven Winscot Thanks, it’s been cold with lots of snow and I’m pacing the floor so this is how I vent my frustration.
-
Steven Winscot Nice, do you can that much to give away some? Until recently I always had a couple different people that loved canning that would give me a jar when they did a batch. I loved it and they seemed to enjoy giving it away.

WVTim I gift some of all things that I process and can. I spent lots of time in the kitchen with the Women when I was a kid, I enjoyed the farm life and the freshest of foods.
