A little overnight test cook for our Smoke Out Hunger initiative for the City Union mission and Hope house. Also a little praise report that a local business donated another $500 towards our new cooler to hold the meat for the homeless. If you can spare some extra towards a great cause we are one $1000 away from realizing a long dream of a new commercial cooler to help with the workload. We hope to do another 5-600 pounds this fall for our less fortunate folks. Prayerfully consider helping out.

I whipped up a quick and simple dinner. I used the outdoor griddle to do blackened Salmon and sliced potatoes. I put about the last of the garden green beans in a pot earlier with some bacon grease I saved from breakfast this morning. I washed it down with a nice home brewed porter. Life is good!
