Derek from Iowa

Good evening,
My name is Derek. I am a small slaughtering/meat processing owner in Eastern Iowa. I’m an avid smoker of briskets, pork buts, wings etc. on my Rec Tec 680. I am working towards perfecting my snack stick, summer sausage (both venison and beef) . As of now I’m just doing this for home use. I just put in an order for the PK100 since it seems to be the right smoker of choice after watching the videos.
Thanks for having me and look forward to many more posts.

Derek_D you should really enjoy the pk100, for a small unit the quality is topnotch. The insulation is far better than any other small smoker. I went a bit further and bought the ProSmoker 100SS. But the cost between the two is much greater and not typically bought by home smokers just wanting to do a little smoking here and there. I do recommend buying some consumable parts just incase it goes out while smoking a batch. Such as the burner coil. You can always finish in the oven though if that were to ever happen. Good luck and have fun with it

Derek_D We use this a ton in our videos and there are a few users with this unit, so if you have questions let us know!
