Denny O Great idea! A whole lot less work that way!! LOL!

Finally got the first drop of rain in over a month & a half & hit was just about a gulley washer. Bad news is I got busy & did not get all of the Fall garden in yet for various reasons even beyond the busyness.

RON PARRISH Those look absolutely beautiful! We need to get started on our ferments soon too. We have tons of dried peppers now that look very bright & Red/Orange. However, our Poblanos have not done very well at all so far this year like they usually do. We are wondering if it is because we grew them this year from saved seeds instead of the normal route like usual. The plants have all done very well, just not the fruit, while other varieties not too far away have been fantastic.

RON PARRISH my fall corn is looking great. It should be tasseling in the next few days.
Not exactly Gardening but I’ve got Cooper helping me disc up one of our food plots. I hope we get some rain on it. -

cdavis Looks great! I planted turnips here thats about the only fall crop I can plant. I tilled up my food plot and planted rye grass in it for the winter. I was lucky we got rain on it that night! Not much rain in forcast for the next week
-
cdavis That corn looks great Charlie. I quit growing corn a long, long time ago as it just took too much space up to get good pollination. However, there is nothing in the world like good fresh corn on the cob, right off the stalk, while it is still bleeding & I sure do miss it along with some of those super sweet & interesting varieties I used to try.

RON PARRISH the corn looks great and I hope your food plots do well

RON PARRISH The ground that I had hunted on had a turnip plot that got converted to soybeans. My favorite place to be in the evening!

cdavis Looks good Charley, I think our growing season is coming to an end fast. We had 35 degrees this morning and the plants are starting to look like fall.
