New to the marinade tumbler! Hello!
-
lkrfletcher I asked our Application Specialist and he said he thought it would change the way the machine performed but he wasn’t sure if it would be a good thing or a bad thing. I did some google searching (always dangerous) and the consensus seems to be that vac machines are not as effective as the air is less dense so it is harder to remove as much air. I am not sure if that means that this would be 5%, 10% or 50% less though

Jonathon - Thanks for looking into this.

lkrfletcher There has to be SOME penalty for living in the Mountains, sure you have better air, gorgeous scenery, more wild life, access to amazing outdoor activities BUT I can pull a better vacuum on my tumbler…check mate!

Tex_77 - Nothing yet.

Chef Have the same canner…it’s been a good one and the large capacity is great when you have a lot to can.
-
Bigtwin Also great for any type of beans. red beans, pinto beans, cowboy beans, charro beans. 15 minutes at 15 # pressure and it comes out perfect.

I was ready to pull the trigger on a new marinade express pro (was hoping for Black Friday) but after not hearing from their customer service department and especially after readIng several bad reviews about the machine not sealing properly after a few tries and cracks in the bottom of the chamber. well I have decided not to get one. Pretty disappointed that the company would not return my call, or email. Still not even sure it would work at all at 6000 ft.

lkrfletcher That’s interesting, when I contacted customer service I had a quick response. I also haven’t had any issues with it sealing. I have to wonder if the people’s who had thier units cracked were washing them in a dishwasher?
Hopefully you can find something that works for you.

@Tex_. Yeah I am pretty bummed out. I just had a few questions for them but nothing. The users I found with cracks said no dishwasher. Rather the bottom of the drum is flat and the cracks started directly in the center. Pull a vacuum on a flat surface will always go to the least supported area. In this case the center.
I really wanted to try this it sounds like a great idea.
