My first times making these willie snack sticks and when mixing up the meat I added a tsp of cure pink #1 per 5 lbs ( I did 20 lbs) then reading in there book I noticed at the top of the page that the mix comes with the cure in it
My question is are these snack stick safe to eat ?

Johnboy13 I don’t know the answer, but I think you should try posting this in the urgent category so you can find out sooner.

After reading some other blogs the cure come in a separate pack along with the seasoning. If that so all I received was the seasoning so I’m good but if it already mix in with the seasoning it has been doubled
    Really not sure yet

I’ve bought many different sausage mixes from different companies and never have I seen the cure mixed with the seasoning, most have a small pack of cure to do 25 pounds of meat! The cure mix you did per pound is right on! If you bought this from Walton’s, there cure was always not part of the mix! Hope that helps you, welcome to the gang! Mike Mccullen

I had a friend call me for advice with the same problem, no cure pack in the Willies

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day
Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime

There should be a separate cure pack with willies I believe if not then they must’ve forgot to put one with your order. All the seasoning I’ve ever bought from Walton’s has a cure pack unless it’s a brat seasoning or fresh sausage seasoning

The mixes I’ve received that are supposed to come with cure have the Sure Cure in a separate, small, orange packet.

Just purchased Willy’s recently and it came with a separate cure pack. It would have been easy to overlook it in a full box of merchandise and accidentally throw it out.
