Just got a new dehydrator and I was thinking of making snack sticks in it any suggestions on whether it’ll work thought I would just make them the same way I would make sticks for my smoker but lay them on the trays in the dehydrator

jim blais i would say thats a no, typically your not looking to dehydrate snack sticks. Yes they are semi dry but not dehydrated. I also doubt your dehydrator reachs 160° which will make it very tough to finish. Might as well just do them in the oven if these are your only options. Or stick with your smoker

jim blais what twilliams says is correct if you don’t have a smoker you can use hickory smoke powder in the mix to give them a smoked flavor
