Gravity Storm if i remember correctly the MSG is only sold in 100lb batches, primarily for commercial uses. And although i have never used it i believe MSG does give a slight better taste. However, some have allergic reactions to MSG

used to use Iodophor on my brewing equipment but switched to StarSan and never looked back.
My go to is starsan, but since it is slick my rubber stoppers will not stick in my carboys so I keep iodophor just for that purpose. Commercially we used starsan exclusively, so I know that it is great in and around meat production.
I haven’t seen my stoppers get slippery from starsan. Maybe takes the right combination of stopper and opening for it to happen?

it could possibly ruining the Starsan work, I am not totally sure.
That is exactly why I use the iodophor, didn’t want to take the chance.

processhead That is what I always thought or just the nature of liquid on rubber or silicone. However, there is so much I am finding out every day, I just figured that was something else I did not realize about Starsan since we see the stopper business all the time

processhead It happens on my 1 and 6 gallon from 3 different manufactures, but then again I do completely wet my equipment. After I apply the sanitizer, I don’t wipe, so maybe it is the way I am applying compared to others.
