Bob Dibble I have been using the Walton’s Turkey Brine for several years now before smoking my turkeys. It is real good & I am sure you will like it. Sometimes & bump mine up a notch by using a light muscadine or scuppernong wine with or instead of the required water. It is real good & everyone always likes the smoke turkey.

It will end up slightly higher than our standard high temp cheddar cheese, but it won’t be a lot higher.

Glad you like the idea! I’ve already had to make another one because it turned out so good. I used our Hot Buffalo Wing Shake on the last one for a topping seasoning instead of the 5ive pepper and that was amazing as well!

This weekend I did a breakfast version of this:
pressed breakfast sausage into a 9" pie pan to form a “crust”, added about half a pound of potatoes O’Brian, 9 scrambled eggs, cheese, and topped it with 2 layers of thin slice bacon. Baked at 350° for 90 minutes.
It turned out very good, the only thing I would do different is use a deeper pan because you can see where the eggs boiled over the edge. -

Also, after the first bacon pie I did, I went out and bought a new pan that was twice as deep, probably close to 4in deep. A deeper dish has really helped a lot for me on subsequent attempts and preventing overflows.There are so many possible variations on this that could be done that I want to try that I could probably be eating bacon pies everyday for the rest of my life!
