Meatgistics Podcast: Raining Meat!
Go from Animal to Edible with the Meatgistics Podcast presented by Walton’s Inc. Each episode, Jon and Austin talk about their favorite recipes and share some expert tips and tricks for making sausage, jerky and snacksticks. Listen in as they have in-depth conversations with meat industry professionals and outdoor/hunting enthusiasts. Stay up to date on the latest news and current trends in the meat industry as we explore everything related to meat and more.
What we talked about:
In this episode Austin and Jon talk about an incident in the US from many years ago that still has unanswered questions attached to it. Meat fell from the sky in Kentucky in 1876, what was it? We still don’t know for sure, but when meat falls from the sky, you HAVE to eat it, RIGHT?!

Just FYI I had to sent Patrick home for the day cause he was insisting that we call this episode “It’s Raining Men” and wouldn’t stop singing it!

I’ll let her know but she is NOT going to want to do this. i might be able to convince her but she is not someone who likes attention really. That is why we work together, when it requires brains she steps up, when it requires …I don’t know what word I am looking for…personality sounds conceited but that is sort of what I mean (see why she is the brains?) or aggressiveness I step up.
Tex_77 I am trying to remember what would cause that comment…did I talk about the cloud of formaldehyde? I bet it was, I like telling that story for some reason!

Jonathon I believe you said it was chloroform.

Tex_77 Interesting…I bet I’ve told it both ways. Scary chemical that kills is what I should just call it. Ill ask her tonight!

Jonathon Much like my wife, she likely deserves an award of some type (for putting up with men like us).

Flat Earth. Conspiracy theories. Zombie apocalypse.
Is the “happy smoke” now available in Kansas?
You guy’s are the best… -
PapaSop I like how each one begins as meat processing and then I quickly derail it! The one-two before this was the worst. I was having a bad day on top of a bad week and just rambled. Oddly though, whether it is a live stream or a podcast I do feel much better after. I am not someone who would ever be able to go to therapy (I’m an oddly private person, I know that sounds wrong but it is true) but talking about things does help!
