zbigjeff it came pre-seasoned, but i use Camp Chef Cast Iron Conditioner after every cook to keep the seasoning built up.

Stargazer 6 pound 9.2oz. Lodge 7 pounds 9.4 oz.
So the Stargazer is a hair over a pound lighter than the Lodge.
