Vintage Brinkmann Smoker and Grill
-
I found this old picture I took just after I repainted my Brinkmann Cimarron Offset smoker and matching grill with high temperature paint. I think I got them 10 years ago and I would guess they were at least that old before I got them.
What impressed me about them was their construction.
They are both built of 3/16 wall steel pipe and are identical with the exception of the fire box and bigger wheels on the smoker. They are heavy as hell and never stray far from my patio for that reason.Since I took the picture, I made a modification to the smoker. I added a baffle plate in the bottom and moved the stack to the opposite end to reverse the flow of heat through the smoking chamber for more even heating.
Looking at them recently, I can see they are both due for fresh coat of paint.
I have no doubt they will still be grilling and smoking long after I am gone. -

processhead looking pretty good for the age. My stick smoker doesn’t look that good at about the same age.

Please don’t consider things 20 years old “Vintage”. I feel old enough as it is.

Jamieson22 if 20 is vintage, then I’m prehistoric. Me, I’m older than dirt, I use a few knifes that are 80 plus years old, a slicer that is 70 years old…the list goes on.

Jamieson22 Chef Those Brinkmann items may not technically qualify as vintage. They have however been out of production for many years and Brinkmann declared chapter 11 in 2015
Most of the the medium-sized horizontals sold today are stamped sheet metal and fairly light-duty.

I would like to see a picture of the old items if you get a chance to post them. The vintage items have character. Just like their owners. lol
