Paul Harvey
-
Well many of us on Meatgistics are old enough to know who Paul Harvey was. I heard him every day for years.
I ran upon this clip from him done in 1965. Don’t know who is more accurate, Paul Harvey or George Orwell.

One would almost think he was a prophet…

Chef yep. I’m 47 (almost 48) listened to AM radio growing up and always heard Paul Harvey. This one was pretty prophetic! Scary how spot on it is with society and letting the devil in.

This very year, 1965, I was nine years old. My dad gave me a 3 x 5 card from the NRA. It outlined the how the communist were going to take control of the United States. It was along the same line, although it also stated the take over of the American Psychological Association, a group that is not elected nor governed that gets to declare what is acceptable behavior to both the legislative and judicial groups. It was about that time that they changed the term healthy to normal and then declared normal behavior as any behavior that 3% or more of the population exhibits. I won’t invite trouble, but it is interesting to look at the members of the governing board of the APA.

I use to listen to him when I was in the truck back in the day and now for the rest of the story lol

ND Mike and Chef I don’t know if you know this about Paul Harvey, but his father was a Tulsa Police Officer, who was shot and killed in the line of duty. Paul did a great segment called “Policeman”

If you haven’t heard it, its dead on. -
I did not know that about his Dad but I have heard the Policeman bit. Paul Harvey was a good man.

Never heard that one before. Unbelievable coming from 1965.
A modern day Nostradamus. -

GWG8541 Just watched it. How very true, how sad, it should be mandatory viewing for all citizens.
This is such a sad time. While we in the Meatgistics family may recognize this message, it is our responsibility to disseminate this message to all.
All it takes for evil to prevail, is for good men to do nothing.

I stumbled across this song a few few days ago. It hit me like a sledgehammer! It is by Aaron Lewis who is also the lead singer for a heavy rock group named Staind. He does country music as a solo project and he is one of my favorites. He is a Patriot and I’m sure he made lots of enemies with the cancel culture that’s out there. I hate where we are as a Country. We need to get back to God, Family, and Country!!! Disclaimer…there is a few cuss words.

Yep… He’s not the only one! -
Chef That is AMAZING & scary! Definitely good ol Paul. God, I sure do miss his broadcast every afternoon on the radio. Just a plain old radio. Heck, I even miss Green Diamond fertilizer or at least Paul’s advertisement for them.

Chef Always liked the way he ended, “Good Day”.

Yeah, great song though…I don’t like country style music! I like Johnny, Merl and Willie. When guys like Keith Urban started becoming popular my interest in in dropped. it became more Pop, and I don’t hate pop but it’s not what country music was.
Since we are listing Music allow me to recommend smith and Meyers acoustic sessions https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mB1rfyMtEky7wWIkMm08CS3XKrDYyGBFY This is the lead singer and the guitarist from a band called Shine Down. They were more hard rock but these sessions are all acoustic and show off his voice. Highly recommend!

Chef There’s a lot of wisdom on that segment. Paul Harvey was a great commentator. I always liked listening to him on AM radio. Thank you for sharing the link.
