Perfect. Good to know. Thank you! -
ND Mike I dont have a waltons chamber vac. Bought the cheap Chinese knock off. So my sealing time on 3mm is 2.3 sec. Cool down 3.0 sec. You will have to test your unit. Throw cold water and seal. When done check bag for leaks.

PapaSop the one thing about chamber vac is that you are limited on bag size. The chamber is only so big. On mine a 10x13 bag is pretty much the max size bag I can use.
Where as the food saver type you are limited on width but not length. If you want to vac seal a whole salmon you can on a food saver but not my chamber vac unless you want to spend $10,000 on a big one -
johnsbrewhouse what size bags do you use that aren’t available in 100 CT? I know I would like some thicker bags but then those are only by the 1000 count

Randie N longer than 13". My machine will handle bags up to 15". I have adapted by making my sausage sings a bit smaller and using 13" bags.

Happened across a neat little chamber bag. Was looking for a small bag to seal snacks in to carry in my backpack. Called my brother at the cheese store and asked if they use small bags. He showed up with a couple hundred of these bags they tried but never used. Perfect size and resealable. Making jerky next week, these bags should help not eating it all at once.

PapaSop I use the ones from Waltons with the resealable top. Quart for snack sticks and pints for jerky. They do keep me from eating the whole bag at once.

I went on amz and looked. Found what I thought was a good size 4x6. Ordered 1000 pretty cheap. Got em and found that by the time I put anything in they were to full to seal. 2 yrs later bet I got 950 left.
