Jonathon The only way to get better is to keep at it. I have been pheasant hunting for 50 years and still get startled by a close flush but that is part of the excitement.
What are you hunting/fishing?

Ken1261 thanks. He’s on cloud 9. Last Sunday he shot his first perfect round of trap and shot 24 of 25 in skeet.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words that I’ll share with my son. I have to give a huge thanks to someone from this community that encouraged me to seek out the shooting sports for Cooper. About a year ago I posted how well Cooper shot some hand thrown clays on his 1st try. Well smokinbubba who if I remember correctly is a 4H shooting instructor mentioned I should find out about it in my area. And here we are a year later. Thank you smokinbubba for turning us on to the shooting sports that I didn’t even know existed in my area. I have never seen my son with such a passion.

cdavis Thats great, never could get the hang of trap. Shot one 25 bird skeet, so he’s doing exceptional. It’s tradition to shoot his cap on his first 25 round skeet, shot.

cdavis Outstanding, good job!

cdavis You are not missing anything, the Stripers are much better, even though the hybrids are what, half striper & half White or Yellow Bass if I remember correctly. We used to catch the devil out of them when they were running.

calldoctoday Yellow bass are still a different bread, a wiper or hybrid bass (same thing) is a cross between a white bass and a striped bass.
Striped, white and yellow bass are all separate species.
-
Denny O I knew the hybrid was one of those, & thought it was the White & Striper, but could not remember for certain. I think the Yellows were the little PIA son of a guns.
