Hey guys, during the last Livestream someone suggested that we try using the Landjaeger Seasoning and add some Jagaermeister to it and it sounded interesting so we wanted to go ahead and try it! So, we had to grind up some meat yesterday to test a new version of a grinder and decided now was the time. So, we used Pork butts, Sure Gel Meat Binder , cure and replaced the water with Jagaer. We did NOT add an accelerator, it had enough things going on that it didn’t need the tang and we are going to smoke it on the PK100 today. Obviously, we will let everyone know what it tastes like. I can say this, we made a patty out of what was in the bottom of the stuffer and it isn’t terrible. Something in the jagaer covers up a little of the landjagaer seasoning but maybe adding sure cure, smoking it and cooking out more of the moisture will change that?

Jonathon im not a fan of jager so it would be a no for me, however i made some apple flavored jerky with Jim Beam apple bourbon whiskey, lets just say i will not be making that again either. Perhaps if one put thought into it im sure they could make it better than i did.

Jonathon anything is worth a try. I ODed on Jager one night. One of the drunkest nights of my life and that’s saying something! I was a bit rowdy in my younger years!!! But I would have to at least sample some of this sausage just because it sounds interesting.

Just thinking about it, a little Jaeger would probably go a long way. Rather than replacing the full volume of water with Jaegermeister, it might be better to go with 25 % for starters to see where you are at and also to let some of the other seasoning come through.
