“Mostly Vegetarian” is my vote…I don’t identify in that group. I eat a balanced omnivore diet. Probably don’t eat enough fruit though.

CWD - I have not tested my deer before. It does not bother me but my wife is concerned about it. My deer this year will be tested for it.

Jonathon I would gladly trade you one of my piglets. They are super friendly as you can see. My wife was opposed to pigs also, now she thoroughly enjoys them.

Austin Jonathon as far as CWD goes I’m not concerned one bit about it. Colorado has had CWD for over 30 years and there is no evidence that humans have contracted it. Like Jon said it is more of sustaining our deer population and herd health. Another virus that is very detrimental to the herds and population is the virus EHD(Blue tongue). Hunters need to just use common sense and don’t eat a sick looking animal whether it be skinny beyond normal or acting differently than normal. As well as proper handling and processing. I debone all meat, however I also cut the joints at the legs and head which cause a potential threat of virus to meat contamination. If one left skeletal joints intact that threat is significantly reduced. Also want to thank you for the mention of the pizza snack stick and jerky seasoning issues. I will definitely buy the pizza frank and wiener seasoning to give a try. I don’t get to watch you guys live due to work but always watch the podcasts and livestreams when I can.

twilliams I agree, it more than likely has always been there it just now being “discovered,” but how many have been shot and consumed without issue? I wouldn’t shoot or eat a deer that looked sickly anyway. Same goes with the Vid, I bet it has always been in wildlife. You can’t find something unless you specifically look for it. An area of Texas I hunt is in the anthrax triangle and that wipes out a large percentage of a deer heard over a summer. If I did see a deer in rough shape just trying to eat I would burn a tag and drag it into the brush to end its suffering.
