HerbcoFood Heck yeah! I’ve got a ton of Disney VHS stuff from my grandparents. Lots of memories from watching them at my grandparents’ house back in the day. That collection is one of the things I asked for when my Grandpa passed away last year. My 2 year old first called them books but then realized they are movies and asks for them on the TV, but he can’t figure out how they work to watch on TV. It is quite funny to watch him mess with them and try to think about how he can watch them.

Austin right on! My wife brought all her Disney movies to our house for some reason, I think at one time we were going to convert them to DVD. However, then Disney came out with their streaming service. I’d be kind of scared to put a 20-30 year VHS in to play, thinking about the film falling apart and being ruined scares me.

Austin and Jonathon this was another great podcast with some very good points. I just heard on the radio that the average family is paying an extra $172 and some change/month for goods due to inflation! I know groceries are insane. I’m glad I just picked up a quarter of beef!
I’m also excited to hear about the new shakers. Could I ask a favor though? Could you guys list the ingredients on the webpage for the shakers? I ordered the Sweet Chipotle Lime shaker after I called customer service and got a gal that was kind enough to read the ingredients off a shaker bottle that she was holding. She actually went and grabbed one from somewhere so I could find out what was in it. That was awesome by the way!!!
Another point from the podcast is I will always eat wild game. CWD doesn’t scare me that much. I honestly think CWD has been in the deer herds forever and we are late to the game finding out about it. Another disease that is rampant in areas of my state is EHD (sometimes called blue tongue) it has been killing thousands of deer in the past few months. It has actually devastated the deer herds in certain areas. The area where I hunt has not suffered from it thankfully. I almost wish our state would refund all tags and close the deer season in some of the heavily affected areas.

Austin Jonathon Back to the topic of “meat” alternatives; in Oregon there is a ballot initiative out there right now to ban animal breeding and slaughtering: https://www.farmprogress.com/livestock/oregon-initiative-would-ban-animal-slaughter-breeding

HerbcoFood that is just not even logical thinking! I know Colorado had a bill that artificial insemination was to be considered rape in the livestock industry!
-
ND Mike it’s pretty wild out there on what some states are trying to do. Sportsman Alliance is a good follow; this is how I found out about that.

HerbcoFood some States have really lost their way. I will check Sportsmen’s Alliance out. Thanks.

Crazy. I’ve seen similar things on artificial insemination before and attempts to basically make it a sex crime. We talked about the bill ND Mike mentioned on a podcast in the recent past.
Bold strategy to try and outlaw harvesting entirely. I don’t think it would pass, but if it did, I’ll sit back and watch their state crumble. -

I think it is people that just can’t see any way but their way. I have two nieces who are vegetarians and I try to accommodate them when we are together and I am cooking (they really like the mushroom enchiladas I made them this year) they don’t care if the rest of our family eats meat, it is a life style they have currently chosen.
-
bocephus I don’t care about peoples dietary choices, I just don’t like it when they preach it on you to make you the bad guy. I will sit back and listen and have a civilized conversation, but right when the cheesy name calling starts that is when that person no matter which side has lost.

Austin a question of who has COVID that you and Jon have been exposed to put you in quarantine came to my mind? I know you probably can’t say who. I hope they are doing fine and just have mild symptoms. I believe I got COVID twice, once in February 2020 before we really knew about it and again the end of October. That one messed up my lungs and now I run short of breath constantly. I never got tested so I will never know for sure if I was positive but am 99% in my mind I was.

twilliams I think I had it twice also, once in late January 2020 before they were talking about it (worst case) and in Nov 2020 (tested). The Second time I just had a mild cough in the morning but it went through our deer hunting group. This year we are splitting the group up to isolate better, hope we have this solved by next fall so we can all get back together.

twilliams I never was tested either but when I donated blood after last October (when I knew I had covid) they screened it for Covid antibodies and I was positive so they sent the sample in for further screening. It was confirmed that I indeed had already had covid and recovered. Between my allergies and all the smoke we have had in ND from fires out West and up North my lungs have not been normal since. Hopefully I will get a better idea during this winter!
