Doughnuts

Jonesy
We would elbow each other just to get to them first. She’s been gone a long time. Haven’t had any since. She used lard. Probably why they were so good. -

PapaSop It was my mom who made the doughnuts for us, if you helped you always got the first ones with a cold glass of milk. When she made them she made a bunch, had a big square Tupperware container that she filled and put in the freezer. It didn’t last as long as she thought it should.

Made some fried cake doughnuts this morning, just like grandma used to make, more than 50 years ago.OMG!!! You should honor grandma and post a recipe with her name attached for prosperity in the Recipe Section. Your picture transported me back 45 years. Still remember the smell of lard and taste the soaked fried goodness in the crumby cake donut matrix

We live in a town of 117. Now, 17 dozen twists later, I have to wonder where they all went.
It’s all in the icing
One more batch to go.
Halloween is alot of work.
