I use no cure but go to the freezer right after stuffing. I then remove them and vac seal them after they are frozen.

Yep. I did use it and got down to $138.00. Thanks. Will wait on that “big” ticket item I had in there. Perhaps will get a little luv during the upcoming sales events.

Here is the price at my Costco, looks like prices are pretty much the same as what everyone else is seeing; $4.39/lb.

Winco “had” pork loin for $1.88 and sirloin for $1.78. Something came up and I had to go grocery shopping last night instead of cooking Chinese and I’m glad I did. I bought the last 3 loins and there was only 10 bags of sirlons left so I bought 3 of those also. 50lbs total, 25 lbs of loin for Canadian bacon and 25 lbs of sirloin for restructured pressed hams. The pork bellies were $4.49 lb so instead of them I might try making shoulder bacon, pork butts are only $1.98 lb.

GWG8541 Our closest Costco is over 200, I am pretty sure. Sam’s is about 10. Sam’s store can get pretty packed these days, but still bearable. The prices from what I have heard are no where near to as good as Costco, Now the rough patch these days with Sam’s is the gas line, unless I get there literally at 6:00 in the morning. The lines are around the block for all lanes from around 7:30 am until closing at night. It is insane. That just started maybe two years ago. They re-worked the pumps, just before it started. I don’t think they had any way of knowing what was coming. The good news on the store being busy is we can get free reliable shipping & we use it in some cases. For instance, Worcestershire sauce. Two 20 oz bottles delivered free is only $3.00 more than one 16 oz bottle at Walmart at $8.00. That is insane, but you cannot get it in the store at all, so have to order it & it has been like that for the past year or so.
