Jamieson22 They’re not completely done yet, but I’ve been sampling everytime I turn them. They’d are so good and still have an hour to smoke. I used the honey Sriracha I found on Amazon that I posted earlier. It’s a great flavoring. Thanks again for sharing.

Jamieson22 Looks like he should order a few PKs, could sell the extras and pay off his.

They were outstanding! Brought some to work this morning. Everyone loved them also. This is definitely going in my rotation of stuff to make. Thanks for the recipe!

Bringing to office will lead you to two full-sized hotel pans and 9lb batches right quick!

Jamieson22 ok sorry to bother again finally got all the ingredients to make some of these smoked chez-it’s. Here is the question if I use only one bag out of one box of chez-its would that amount of chez-its call for one application of the list of ingredients? Or is that to much seasoning?
Thanks -
Jesser I understand 1 box of chez-it’s have two bags of chez-it’s in the box.
-
Jesser Which size box? If a Costco/Sam’s sized box (48oz) I’d use 2/3 the amount of seasoning listed as my recipe is for a hotel pans worth which is 1.5 Costco/Sam’s boxes (3 sleeves).
-
The recipe is for 3 sleeves/bags. If you use 1 sleeve/bag the recipe would be 1/3, if 2 sleeves/bags the recipe would be 2/3, if using 3 sleeves/bags if would be full recipe.

Jamieson22 OK. I think I’m addicted to these cheezits. This is the third batch I’ve made and they just keep disappearing. Not sure where they go but I had to let my belt out a notch.
-
wdaly LOL Love it!
Time to upgrade to larger batches. Doesn’t sound as bad to eat 1 batch vs 3
Also buy Ranch in the big container. Costco/Sam’s sells pretty cheap. -
Jamieson22 I finally got everything I needed to make a batch in time to enjoy while watching the chiefs play last Sunday. They tasted great, thanks for sharing the recipe. Not sure haw to post pictures so no pictures.

Grimpuppy I don’t have a Costco or Sam’s membership.
So, there are 48oz. total in a Costco/Sam’s 3 bag box of cheese-its, correct? -
glen Correct. And recipe is for 72 oz.

Jamieson22 Great, thank you

wdaly You could always stretch it out a bit, maybe add in some honey roasted peanuts, or just salted peanuts, maybe some pretzels…

Funny but this all started for me by adding cheez-its to my smoked chex-mix. Then everyone kept saying the cheez-its were the best part. So here we are with 100% smoked cheez-its.
-
glen my Costco 48 oz box had two bags of cheez-it’s in the box, each bag containing 24oz each.
-
Jamieson22 I agree the cheez-its usually are the best parts of those mixes.
