A bulk store here sells cheese powder. Has anyone used this in a brat, snack stick or summer sausage?

samspade I have not used it in meat products. I do use it in dehydrated potatoes to change them from scalloped potatoes to au gratin potatoes.

Today’s fun fact: A surplus of Army powdered cheese is how the cheetoh came about being invented.

HerbcoFood Now that’s a cool tidbit of info. Didn’t know that. Thanks!

Have not used cheese powder but we have made snack sticks with Cheeto’s Cheese puffs. They were delicious.
-
JohnG5 did you use puffs or the crunchy ones?
-
samspade puffs. That was your idea wasn’t it?
-
JohnG5 yep. Havnt had a chance to try it. What was the puffs to meat ratio. So I dont have to experiment with it. And did you run them through the grinder or just crumble and mix with seasoning?
