Just planted the beans today before the rain hits again tomorrow, also got most of the squash seeds in as well. Spinach and beets are in, so now all I have left are pumpkins and they go in the compost bin, but I have to get the chickweed out first with the eco-friendly weed killer since the bee’s are busy.

I have decided on Fettuccini alfredo with pancetta, sun dried tomatoes and spinach. That should knock me into fat and sassy stauts!

HerbcoFood You have a bud over here who did exactly the same. Before out of towners leaving tonight after a week, we started out with maple sausage patties, moved onto Slovenian sausages for lunch and smoked gouda with Jeludec sandwiches (basically a 5 lb Slovenian Sausage cut into lunch meat) with fresh horseradish. For dessert we had paczki’s. Thinking both events were very nice affairs.

cdavis It’s a donut on steroids. Some are filled with fruit fillings, others are filled with cream fillings. They’re big in the Chicago area.

cdavis the dough is richer than your typical jelly donut and filled to the extreme. Typically when I was younger they came in prune filling. Over time they have a variety of flavors and are coating in sugar.
