Was a computer programmer analyst for over 36 years so I have seen weirder stuff than that problem.
Packaging feedback

Couldn’t find a place to leave feedback on Walton’s, so trying here… should be same folks, and Austin should be able to fix quickly.
Ordered some additives and parts including grinder knives. Fast delivery, happy with product. However, knives were just slipped into plastic sleeve with nothing holding them in, and of course they came out during shipping and cut into the additives bag. Luckily just a wee bit of dextrose lost, no biggie. BUT THESE KNIVE WRAPS SHOULD BE TAPED CLOSED, AND THEY SHOULD BE BUNDLED IN A WRAP OF NEWSPAPER OR SOMETHING SO THEY DON’T FLOP AROUND AND CUT STUFF OPEN!
Here’s a pic showing them loose in box as delivered.

Thanks Dave in AZ
This spot is fine to leave feedback.
The warehouse is under my direction. They are not supposed to do this and it should have some packing material in there and around things. I will get it addressed.
If you need a replacement from damage on anything, email or call our customer service team and we’ll get it taken care of. https://www.waltonsinc.com/contact-us/ or 800-835-2832 -

Austin thanks for reply, and offer. But no, I’m all good, no need for any replacements. Just a bit of feedback, as I can tell you guys run an incredibly responsive operation and want to improve or do the best you can. The proof being your fast reply to me!
It’s really just self interest, as I can tell I will be buying a lot of stuff from your fantastic company, and having it shipped–can’t recall when I’ve been so impressed by an operation. Good luck and thanks!

Received this box this week. Last time I got an order with sharp knives hostling around, you mentioned up above they were supposed to wrap sharp stuff, and that you ran the warehouse.Thought you’d like to be made aware. 4 sharp bacon hangers, tossed into a very loosely packed box with no protection. They punctured 2 of my 3 boxes of vacuum seal bags, I don’t know how many bags are punctured yet. Couple spice packs punctured, but just a wee amount spilled out luckily. The very loose pack with no fillers means stuff got thrown up against sharp points a lot in shipping. There was one air bag as a filler, which was of course popped. This needed peanuts, and strong paper and tape wrapping around the sharp tines.
The 12inch slicer and Waltons pro vac sealer I ordered arrived in separate boxes and were fine.Unless you offer free shipping for small sharps, people are always gonna order them with other products like spice mixes, for shipping deals… your packers need to be more diligent with sharps.
Thx

Dave in AZ That is ridiculous that we did that, and embarrassing. It will be addressed. I am so sorry we did this to you.
I will get you new vac bags sent out today. Better to replace them all rather than find out you have leakers later.
I will also replace the seasonings. If you want to use the ones you already have, you’ll just be doubled up then. -

Austin thx much Austin. cdavis is right. When researching a 12 inch slicer and a quality vacuum sealer, I ultimately decided to go with Walton’s because I felt that if I had problems with them, I could trust the folks at Walton’s to help me out and make it right. That was based on several responses just like this one from you and Jon. Shipping packing can be learned, spices can be replaced… but an attitude like you and Walton’s display towards your customers is rare and irreplaceable, and will keep us coming back for life!
Thanks again, Dave
