Denny O I only use Papal credit to increase my available credit for the Credit bureaus because I’ve never had credit cards and it affects my credit rating, also No interest if paid within 6 months and I always have the money in the bank to pay it off in full if necessary. I own everything, I have a rental and a Ranch in the mountains that I’m building on all cash out of pocket. 1 more year and I’ll be banking 50k a year with no debt.

Denny O Yep, I know what you mean. 2 failed marriages and unimaginable medical debt from one ex wife. I was there more than once but I’ll still fulfill the dream, The path just had a few more detours than anticipated.

Steven Winscot Same here was so badly bent once 40 years ago I should have filed bankruptcy but I was too ashamed to do so. Once was about to lose EVERYTHING bar none! Home, Truck, Car, Motorhome the only thing I owned outright at the time was our 18’ runabout boat. New 3 month old baby, just got out of the hospital myself from a one month stay and was self employed with no work in sight and barely had any work prior. Life was a B***h for well over a year before I saw the surface of the water! I said never again!

Denny O I didn’t file bankruptcy either, I guess it was a matter of pride. I dug myself outta the mess my second wife put me in and just as I saw the light of day I was in a car accident, it crushed my chest and broke my sternum, I didn’t go to the Dr and went to work the next day. Three days later I had a heart attack from the damage it caused, I went in for an ablation/pacemaker but the Dr didn’t feel it was necessary after doing a Electro cardiac laproscopy, three years after that my heart started working fine and I decided I could go back to running my business. THEN I started having back problems which I thought was from damage done Bull riding in my younger days, after 2 years of severe pain (I won’t take painkillers) the Dr scheduled an MRI and it showed 5 tumors and a large one which was inside the spinal column wrapped around my spinal cords, now we are worried it’s cancer. I had that one removed first and luckily it wasn’t cancer but they are recurring so I have an MRI every year now. My legs haven’t been 100% since surgery and never will and the Drs disabled me so I’m on SSDI, I lost almost everything I had left during this time period. I still do everything I did before it just takes a little longer. I didn’t give up and am now working on the house I’m in so it can be rented and I have a foundation going in on a ranch I bought in 2018. I have no debt and My dream is happening so I’m a happy man and look at every new day as a gift.

“I’m a happy man and look at every new day as a gift.”That is an outstanding attitude and only way to live this little journey we call life. Every day we wake up we make a choice on whether or not we are going to be happy or not. I try my best not to let a situation or other people decide my happiness for me. You have it figured out, and thanks for the motivation and reminder, because that choice happens for each of us every day.

Keeping life in perspective helps immensely when dealing with what we perceive are “problems” in life.
You usually don’t have to look very far to find someone with real problems that make our “problems” look pretty insignificant in comparison. -

Dave in AZ well I just pulled the trigger on a 3.5 with the Bella. I even spoke to the owner on the phone this morning before ordering.
I mentioned the purchase to the wife after it was ordered. I see something really nice being purchased in her future and overtime in my future. I am not sure what to get her yet, but it will have to be really nice. -

Dave in AZ it has arrived. I plan on seasoning it before this weekend and doing a brisket or butt to get used to it before a sausage run. I talked to the owner of Smokin-it before ordering it and mentioned I was primarily intending to use it for sausage making. He mentioned they had just started selling the v shaped hangers instead of the rod type. He threw them in the deal and I told him I would be glad to try them out and give a review on them. It also came with their Flavor Saver box and rib hangers.
