Bob Stehlik Yes it can definitely be used in an air fryer, I also use it on legs and thighs on a charcoal grill with great success.

Jonathon said in Ridiculous tender chicken drumsticks:
I have ALWAYS hated Mashed Potatoes, when I was a kid my family tormented me with them, they were sure I would love them if I would just try them so they would hide it in good I liked, like UNDER PIZZA CHEESE! It smells like cheap vodka to me.
I think Jonathon s problem is two-fold. You all feel free to help me unpack this:
First, he has a traumatic childhood experience with tormenting siblings and sub-par mashed potatoes (apologies to to Mama Trembley).I am picturing a youthful Jonathon being bound, blindfolded, locked in a closet and water-boarded with mashed potatoes for hours on end by his spirited siblings. The results are so predictable.
I suspect PTSDFMP is the diagnosis. Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome by Mashed Potatoes. Look it up. It’s in all the medical health journals.
Now I think Jonathon can still be helped and cured… A few closely monitored sessions of dining on Tex_77 or some other QUALITY mashed potatoes, preferably with fried chicken on the run, gravy, and corn on the cob would have him cured in no time at all.

And I am glad you brought that up.
There are is a school of thought in mental health circles where ongoing exposure to the thing we have an abnormal fear or distaste of will actually help the patient.
Kind of a case of that which does not kill us, makes us stronger.
So with carefully administered sessions of mashed potato-boarding, we could actually help Jonathon overcome his irrational fear and loathing of mashed potatoes.
I think a lot of people would volunteer to help with this project. We could start a signup sheet.

processhead I think Austin would be atbthe top of the list! In the last pidcast the mentioned a dunk tank, maybe that could be replaced with force feed Jonathon mashed potatoes!

processhead Really surprised the Meatgistics censors don’t hop on everyone referring to the mash potato boarding. The one thing I do know is people on this site know how to have fun. BTW: I don’t have it regularly. But, I do like a good pile of mashed potatoes.

zbigjeff I’ve got some taters & gonna make a good pile of mashed taters too to go with that ham juice for ham gravy, just for Jonathon!

Tex_77 Nothing like having the “inner tract”. Love it. It’s cool when the admin wants to have a little fun. Been there, done that!! Then, someone like the pres gets word of it, laughs a bit and then before they say “stop”, it’s already back to normal. Just makes me smile.
