Awesome!
Jon's AR build begins!
-
So, these are from righttobear.com and the rest from palmetto state armory should arrive in about a week, then we shall see what I have ordered incorrectly!
-
Jonathon Done any firearm assembly before this project?
-
I really want one in .300 Black Out or .350 legend.
-
Jonathon Very cool Jon! Keep posting…anxious to see how it turns out.
-
First build? Just in time before the great ban and the prices go up.
-
Nice start. Keep pics coming.
-
Yup, first build so processhead no experience but lots of experience in this building so I should hopefully be able to do it without too much issue. I bought the lower about 2 years ago just to have and wanted the rest before anything happens and we can’t buy them or something else gets serialized on it.
I absolutely will continue posting pics. I am excited for the optics to arrive, I got a good deal on a red dot that I liked. memorial day sales played a large part in me finally ordering the rest of what I needed.
-
My one son has done a couple of them. Great end results. Good luck, and have fun with it!
-
Nice! youtube will be your friend. The AR platform is a fairly easy assembly. I’ve never built but have torn mine totally down.

Jonathon Just take your time and lots of info out there.
-
Jonathon If you learn about and understand one concept about rifle assembly, it is that of chamber head space. You want this right and you don’t want to take someone else’s word for it that your barrel and upper are “all set”.

Grimpuppy Nice looking gun, I am thinking about a .350 Legend for my wife for deer hunting.

Tex_77 I’m even game for this, but I will be using a real gun that shoots a mile accurately.
-
twilliams I wanna play. That’s five from a 300BO…

One ragged hole groups from a .30 cal are easier to shoot than from a .22 cal. lolStill, very nice.
