Better start out small. Maybe a potato gun.

Bazookas, fully automatic firearms, short barreled rifles and shotguns along with others are all covered under the National Firearm Act of 1934. You have to go through a heavy duty background check, and pay a tax to get a stamp allowing you to own one of these firearms.
