I am making a new portable Elk Camp. I got a Hiker trailer and am beginning the Mods to it. Hopefully it will be ready for November Elk season. I started with a decal my wife made me. What do you think?
-
Heck yes!
My 25 yrs hunting in CO. I used a Hallmark pop up camper ( made in Brighton CO.)on my full size truck bed , camper was 9 1/2 ft. so with a 4x4 we got to some favorite back country places. Trailer is nice as you can unhook and use your truck, and have bed open to haul more, hope it has a good heater, lol Good luck
P.S. your decal is KOOL. also -

lkrfletcher Way to set up your portable palace. Makes your efforts flexible when it comes to “location”. Good job.
-
lkrfletcher Man that is awesome! Pics of it when you have it in use would be highly appreciated!

lkrfletcher
The out of state hunters usually have a chest style deep freezer mounted on their rigs somewhere. -
Them little trailers are awesome. Looking forward to watching the build.

lkrfletcher Looks like a good solid trailer.

lkrfletcher since you are a foot hunter there are two additional things you need. The first is a one wheeled cart with handles at both ends. I’ve used one to take out many moose. The other is a Hammond Game Getter (Google it) to harvest grouse etc. I needed it while sheep hunting living out of a backpack

Looks like a great project. Have fun.
