mrobisr oh love the flavor of kaffir lime leaves. It really makes the coconut chicken soup. I got some gound once, still have, but nothing the same. Probably my favorite online food shop is importfood dot com , all thai food with great street vendor videos for cooking, check them out if you haven’t. In fact, they have a recipe for this sausage on their site that I just found!
My Alaska trip.

ND Mike Hey, did you get a chance to see the Boar Tide come into the inlet just on the southside of Anchorage? I can’t remember the name of the inlet (it may be Seward something). Aka: The Tide comes into the inlet at around 8-10 foot high and fills the inlet within 10-15 mins with water that started out as mud after the tide “went out”. I understand how tides work. But, watching the tide up there in AK just floored me.

zbigjeff when we left Anchorage to go to Kenai it must have been high tide because it was very full along the drive. When we drove back to Anchorage it was low tide because there was very little water out there. It was pretty crazy to see.

ND Mike It’s nice that you noticed it. When it came back in, it sounded like a roar/a dam let loose. Pretty crazy.

zbigjeff The boar tide occurs in the Turnagain Arm, just off the Cook Inlet. It is wild to watch them surfing it, when it occurs. The tides in the cook inlet are some of the most extreme water changes in the world.

Spidey Thanks for filling in my dead brain spots. I do now remember each of the words/locations you mention. As Paul H used to say: here’s the rest of the story.

zbigjeff Not a problem! I can’t wait to get out of this midwest heat and look at the Turnagain Arm on Friday night. Then off to Ninilchik and spend 10 days with relatives and hope the water is good, to go catch some halibut. If not we will have a good time relaxing and drinking some adult beverages.
