Dave in AZ I have had the reindeer brats and hot dogs made at Indian Valley Meats. It is a small processor about 25 miles south of Anchorage that is well known in the area.
Battle of the Brats

After a bite of each I cannot decide which I like best the hatch green chili brat or the blue ribbon brat. I am claiming a tie, they are both incredible.

They are both great. My personal favorite is the Hatch, but if I was serving people at my bbq, it would be blue ribbon.
The Hatch with extra cheddar cheese is ridiculous. -
I love Hatch and Blue ribbon. Like Grinpuppy said I would serve Blue Ribbon to company unless I knew that all like a little heat. Better yet make both and eat the leftovers at a later date.
-
lkrfletcher I come down on the Hatch Green Chili Flavored Bra Side, Blue Ribbon is a general favorite around here and I think maybe I just got fed too many of them when I started here that I got sort of sick of them. As John Belvedere says though, they have the widest appeal.

I really haven’t made a bad brat yet, I’d say out of all of them I have made, my least favorite is Supreme Pizza.
-
lkrfletcher There’s a tie among the people who have tried the Blue, Philly Cheese, Pizza and Hatch. The tie is between the Blue and Philly. Thinking the Hatch was a bit warm for some. But, all of them have been spot on. No complaints here.
-
lkrfletcher They look incredible. I only wish I was there for the taste test!
-
lkrfletcher They look very good, I believe I would have to have one of each.
-
I like the blue ribbon because I can add my own stuff to it, with that said, blue ribbon is the only mix I have bought. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it
-
I also like the Hatch and the Blue Ribbon. With that said the Jalapeno Popper is hard to beat especially when you make them with elk.
-
Miller those are some good looking brats making them with Elk just makes my mouth water

Miller those look incredible!

Jonathon I see so many questions about flavors and sausage seasoning options, I wonder if it would be possible or if there would be enough interest for a sampler set of what I would consider “individual” packets of each seasoning. With the cost of meat as high as it is I would be game for something like this.
My thought is you could create a set of Best of 2021 or the customer can choose from available sample set of fresh sausage, snack stick, or whatever product category. Build a set of packets and make a test patties before ordering a big bag of seasoning or making a huge batch of product.
