started with guitar at 12 or so. After college, I learned bagpipe reeds had to be soaked in scotch before playing to moisten them up and bring them into tune, then you of course drank the shot of scotch… I figured that was a good instrument to learn, and a good excuse to drink scotch!
When the USAF said they’d give me 2 extra weeks leave (permissive TDY) a year to do bagpipe school if I played at funerals and Dining In/Out formal balls, I got serious
