i beg to differ with the comments the guys made about the bears, yes from time to time a bear will attack people but most of the time the bear is starving or there is some other
midigating factor , bears can make a mess for sure if they get into your garbage can or down right destructive if you leave your car unlocked and they find thier way inside it
but for the past 22 years i have had bears on my front patio almost nightly without harm they are mostly black bears but we have on a couple of rare occassions had a grizzly
i have even gone out and shood them away with nothing more than a flashlight in my hand, the way we see it we (people ) are in thier house , they lived here for 100s of years before we came …not always, but 99% of the time bears are no more dangerous than a large dog wandering in your yard
non-saltwater…fresh water…novel concept
Tex_77 I agree with you. The Hatchet is a great book. The follow-ups to it are good too.
ND Mike Looks like another author I am going to have to look into.
bocephus it was written for junior high kids but they are still some of my favorites.
ND Mike Yeah, its amazing how many of those books they “made” us read really did stick with us. Guess they were considered worth reading for a reason! The book of dun crow was one that a teacher recommended to me that wasn’t on the recommended reading list. It’s a look at good and evil using animals as characters. Not exactly an easy ready but at the time I thought it was extremely profound.
Jonathon that one sounds really interesting. I really like to lose myself in a good book.
