Can you take a picture of the plate you are using off your old grinder next to the small plate on the new grinder?

calvin click the three vertical dots at the bottom of your post. Click edit. Up at the top is a menu toolbar it has a B for bold and I for italics a link and at the far right if you scroll around with your finger is a little icon to add an image. Click that icon. Click either files to search for a picture you already took, or camera to take a picture right then. When you’re all done click the greater than sign in the blue bar at the top of your post.

calvin I know this is probably not much help, but something is just not right for sure. I know that what I am going to mention is going to create more work for you, but I just wonder if you could set them both up side by side & push the same exact meat cuts basically through both of them. At the very least if it works, you will cut your grinding time in half. Hopefully it might give us a picture of exactly how each machine is performing with the exact same cuts & help you find a solution.

processhead being that i only have about 60% sight in my left eye its very hard for me to see the small lines on a scale so i’m not 100% sure
i’m about to start busy day but i will try ( not promise ) to set up the side by side -

calvin We understand, everybody has a bad day now and then, don’t let it get you down. I wanted to say that from your pictures of the plates it looks like the small plate for the smaller grinder (#8?) holes are larger than the small plate for the #12 grinder, this will make a big difference in the time it takes on the second grind.
