Meat saw blade?
-
I think I finally managed to dig through Walton’s website and find one that will work:https://waltons.com/78in-3-tpi-bandsaw-blades/#trustspot-widget-wrapper
Can anyone confirm? Or have a review of this blade? -

I would think the 3 or 4 tooth blade would work fine. 3t will feed a little faster if your 3/4 hp will allow it.
As far as the Waltons blade, I can’t believe they would sell an inferior product.
It has a meat grinder attachment? Interesting. -
Denny O I doubt I’ll ever use the grinder, but it is there. I will admit, I wonder if it is the correct shape to drive a meat mixer!
I did find another reference that said the blade was supposed to be 82", I’ll get out my fabric tape measure and check it tomorrow.

SupplySergeant 77 1/2" x 5/8" is what your manuel shows.

I know nothing about meat bandsaws, but wood ones, yes.
-
SupplySergeant I’d buy bulk bandsaw blade material and cut off the correct length then bevel about 1/4” on each end with an angle grinder. Use silver solder and flux after lining everything up.
-
Brianzipperdog123 I am FAR too lazy to do that! My DoAll upright metal bandsaw at work has a built in blade welder, I’ll have to see if I can weld a smaller blade with it.
-
Denny O I have quite a bit of experience with wood bandsaws and metal ones. I’ve run horizontal cutoff saws, upright bandsaws, and roll-in cut metal bandsaws as a machinist for years, but never a meat one! I get tired of handsawing the backbone off my bone-in chops or back ribs, so I’ve kept an eye on FB Marketplace for the last couple of years for a meat model. This one popped up an hour from home for $100, I couldn’t resist!
