I have had good luck using 800 then 1000 grit wet paper on a piece of glass.
Anyone have this issue with the Waltons 30ml Auto Injector?
-
During Walton’s Thanksgiving sale I ordered the Waltons 30ml Auto Injector. I just received it and don’t know if it’s user error or an issue with the new injector. When I go to screw the needle into the injector it doesn’t screw in tight (the adapter does not appear to be stripped). When I do get a little tension screwing on the needle it does not screw in straight. Also since the needle doesn’t screw in tight the liquid squirts out of the needle mounting area instead of the needle. There is also no O-ring for the needle to sit on so I would think even if the needle is screwed in correctly liquid would still leak from the connection due to back pressure when injection the meat. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

John Belvedere it should screw on straight obviously. I didn’t have any issues with mine when i injected the turkey at Thanksgiving. Only takes a quarter turn to get mine tight.

Austin JonathonTex_77, when the injector is screwed in does it leak at the mounting? Is there any type of gasket or does the needle and mount just have metal on metal? Your needle screws in just like the older 10cc Walton’s injector I have. I know this isn’t rocket science but no matter what I do I can’t get this to work.

John Belvedere Sounds like there could be something wrong with your needle and unit. We’ll get a replacement sent out.

Thanks Austin, how should I send the old unit back to you? Should I talk to customer service for an RMA?

John Belvedere It’s not worth sending back. Keep it for parts or just throw it away. I just submitted the replacement order. You’ll get a tracking email as soon as they process it in the warehouse.
