processhead Your response is spot on. Leaving the option alone at least “allows” for the choice. Even though the use is very low.
Freezer labels

Does Waltons have anything similar to these meat labels? I’m having a hard time trying to find a good source for them. Thought maybe someone here might know where I can get a variety of these
-
Deepwoodsbutcher I’ve seen them in eBay before when my son was buying unrelated stickers for shipping. I think the butcher my beef comes from used custom ink stamps which I don’t think cost much.
-
Deepwoodsbutcher I assume that’s what they are ink stamps

A friend prints his own labels in the office, but if they come off in the freezer sometimes we end up with meat surprise. Ink stamps aren’t a bad idea but you can end up with a lot of them. -

There must be ones out there that stay stuck at below freezing temperatures.

I agree. There probably is some but I can’t find any on my local butcher supply place that are on a 8.5x11 page that I can print on. They do have rolls with like a 1000 on them.Ummm… Jonathan?

dawg Just searching the Internet looks like they make labels that are supposed to hold up in freezer but you have to print what you want on them. As far as the ink stamps I guess you would need so many it would be a waste of money unless you butcher frequently

@wvotrfan
Yes. There are some out there on the world wide web. -
I use these. They have held up in the freezer so far.

Grimpuppy looks like that sticks to the bag well

Deepwoodsbutcher Someone posted a while back on labels that would stick good in freezer, maybe do a search on labels.
-
bocephus my search didn’t turn up much, just one short thread. Was looking for the red/orange pre printed labels. They are generally used in super markets and while I have found a few in obscure places, I was looking for a supplier. If I can’t find them, I’ll probably consider the stamp idea from @wvotrfan
