Denny O They are good steaks, but probably aren’t as good as your use to. Florida doesn’t produce the beef it use to.
-
Denny O That is great. Are you going to drive over & take the ferry or fly to Vancouver/Richmond & then fly over or take the ferry?

calldoctoday The first time I took the truck pulling a trailer to take her belongings up. So that was a lot of TB time. Traveled on the Coho from Port Angles to get to Victoria where she moved to first. My best friend went with me.
When Moma and I went up the next time we flew and took the ferry to up peninsula and she picked us up. Now she lives in Comox we fly completely.
3 exchanges each way. I can say one thing, I’ll never fly in or out of Frisco in the spring to early summer! And the Ferry boat timing is published wrong! Cost us an extra 2 day layover coming back home in Seattle.

Denny O Worth it when you get there. I would skip Frisco altogether & try to just go through Seattle to Richmond & then across. What in the devil is she doing over there? She sure did pick a nice place to settle in though. If I was not so set in my ways, etc. & I could get Margaret to go for it (it really is not bad at all), I know I would go for it.

calldoctoday I would fly directly to Vancouver and catch the ferry there. Several airlines fly one stop to Vancouver, it a whole lot easier than flying into Sea-Tac and then waiting for the ferry to Victoria. Might be cheaper too, haven’t been to BC since “86” and the Worlds Fair.

It is 3 flights for us from here in central Iowa, cannot do it any shorter. We have traveled this rout for 14 years now. She was offered a job in Vic at first and now has been hired away twice! She is in public transportation planning and AI transporting. Works mostly from home and sometimes she travels the US coasts and all across CA.In Victoria, few residences have screens on windows and doors. You might see a couple of flies when staying there for a week. Average mean temps of 40 to 60. Maybe 1 snow a year, if it’s more than an inch will shut the city down for a day or two.

Denny O I understand. Same here, at least, there is no way around it. That is amazing. I know you are proud of her. She chose a really nice place to live on Earth. I had to go from here to Hotlanta, then Houston, Salt Lake City, or LA. Then Seattle, the Vancouver before taking a hop over to VI at various locations.

calldoctoday I know at one time we were third in the nation for beef production, now are main thing is theme parks, housing developments and tourist.

Ken1261 That is sad & amazing isn’t it. You had better not get me started on my thoughts along those lines.
