Jonathon Long cold winters ice fishing, you need to bring the beer into the fish house every so often so it doesn’t freeze. When you grab one and it starts to get slushy, it is time to bring it in for a while.

Alcohol is a natural antifreeze that you can drink. I am assuming because of the cold, people need to consume more antifreeze! LOL. Makes sense to me.

Yeah, I wasn’t hating on how much beer you guys drink just…surprised I guess! Also, I get Utah but I was unaware the Oklahoma had what must be dry counties.

PapaSop I guess if its just for beer I can see it, we put down a lot of mixed drinks in our state along with beer. The map Jon put up is showing every county in our state drinks excessively. Not sure if we should be proud, but I guess we got to be known for something

I lived about 5 years in a dry county in one of the states shown on the map to have very low consumption. I felt like a stranger in a strange, strange land.
When I bought beer in the adjacent wet county, I always felt like checking my rear view mirror on the drive back home…just to make sure I wasn’t being followed. lol -

Jonathon there is no way that Oklahoma doesn’t have more excessive drinkers than that. What is going on with the SE U.S. well, there has be some flawed data in this map.

Polling data. There are those that don’t drink. Then there are those that WILL SAY they don’t drink.
Actually, that data from the S.E. USA might not be far off. When I lived there, many chose not to drink for religious or other cultural reasons.
