Dave in Arizona,
I finished the summer sausage and It looks like everything worked out correctly. I took pictures but the website won’t accept them. Took them on an iPhone and uploaded to my iMac but I get an error message saying unsupported format??? Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Gary Papermaster What is the saved file type?

I had the same problem trying to load photos. I had to download an app and shrink the photo quality.

I know the site will let you post jpeg and png format files. Not sure about what you have there?
Can you open the pics in a photo editor or viewer and then do a Save As in one of the two formats I mentioned?
This might help…https://www.businessinsider.com/guides/tech/heic-to-jpg

Hey guys,
I think the issue here is Apple devices. Apple uses a file format that most other things don’t support. The heic file format is not supported by our site, and most other non Apple devices.
Unfortunately, there is not much I can do there to help. I’ve looked into heic file format support here before and it’s not something we can do for now.
You can either download another app to convert images to jpg, or you can change the camera settings on iPhone to take jpg pictures instead of just heic files. If anyone has issues other than with Apple devices, let me know and I can look into other issues too.

armyguy In my 48ltr cooler i can normally fit x8 packs of “12”, 5" sausages. Apx 20-25lbs. I poach a lot of my sausage w/S.V. frozen. Freeze firm, Vac Pack apx 12 per bag. and hard freeze or S.V 140* apx 3hrs then hard freeze still bagged for future grilling or give aways. Trick is to vac. pac about the same as a food saver. Apx 22inchs, or apx 4psia I make 20-40lb batches at a time. Cheers BTW, i knew a soldier in Germany that used the handle of ArmyGuy back around 1980 https://youtu.be/V5jQfqedjpw

See Austin comment on Iphone picture file format. The issue is not file size, it is the file format apple uses.
You can convert the file format of the pictures you want to post here.
