WVTim I usually stop by one of the nearby Hutterite colonies and buy chickens and turkeys. Fresh product and the turkeys are natural and not needled or pumped, better for brining and smoking.

WVTim last year at thanksgiving turkey was like that here in ny had my daughter look at BJ the week before thanksgiving because I was not paying that for a bird they were .99 a pound for 20 and above got two 20 pound turkeys ate one and put one in the freezer they are to big for 8 people but by the time you make turkey soup and what is left vacuum seal to have for sandwich’s later makes everything ok.

I was just out, whole yard bird, $1.19 at Sams Club locally.

I didn’t read it well enough. They had fresh turkeys so I assume they go for a good bit more

gus4416 I’m good for awhile I got freezer space and stocked up during the holidays. I got 2 left. Heard people complaining about the prices this week and saw the sticker I just posted and figured I missed something big happening somewhere.

WVTim Ouch! I’ve never paid that much for a turkey, is it gold plated?
