If you press on the thumb down button by mistake press it again to retract it. I’m going to do that now to show you.

I pressed the thumbs down then retracted it by pressing the thumbs up button.

toys4dlr The only time I have notice a thumbs down is when I have accidentally hit it while I was doing something else.

If you ever get a thumbs down from me it was an accident when scrolling and Please! Let me know and I’ll change it! I’m not that kinda guy.

And if you ever want to see if you have accidentally given someone a thumbs down, you can go to your user profile and see those stats in the right hand column.

processhead Last week I finally figured out how to navigate the Meatgitics website. I know how to add badges and read unread messages in the column now so I’m not missing anything. I’m either a slow learner or just lazy and didn’t apply myself.

Yeah every couple of weeks I check and see. There will alway be a couple of posts I gave a thumbs down by accident and I go in and fix them.

processhead I have a habit of accidentally hitting the thumbs down while scrolling. I try to check everyday and clear any thumb downs. Like Steven Winscot I assure you, I would not intentionally give anyone in this community a thumbs down.

I have a few posts that have been down voted, but I just assume they are by mistake. They are noted as controversial in your profile, I looked at them and didn’t see anything controversial in them.

Go to the icon in the upper right corner of the screen with your user name/ picture and click on it. A drop down menu will show your user name. Click on that and it will take you to your profile page.
From you profile page, located the 3 dots in the blue circle in the middle-right side of the screen and click on it. You will see all your user statistics listed including post counts etc.
Down the list you will see down votes. If you click on down votes it will list the posts to the left where you left a down vote. You can go to the post then and remove the down vote by clicking on the thumbs up icon.

gus4416 Go to your profile, tap the button with 3 dots, then scroll down until you see down voted. Tap on down votes in your profile and it will take you to the page in question for the first down vote and then look for the post by you with no thumbs down icon and tap where the thumbs down icon would be and the thumbs down icon will reappear. You will have to follow the same procedure and it will take you to your next down vote, do this until it shows no more down votes and the problem will be solved. Hope this helps.

Sorry, guess I don’t see what you are seeing. I haven’t checked in awhile but have found some I never would have down voted. Strange. As the other members have stated, you can reverse them. -
Just looked back and eliminated all down votes. Even the ones going back to the old color wars thread.
Thinking more about it, and yes, with a glass of bourbon on the rocks. Should a down vote even be an option?
Are we not all here to help each other and further expand our knowledge of home processing? I don’t think we should have the option to down vote someone in this community. Just saying.
Ok, I’ll get off the soap box now.
