Mechanical Bull Riding for Walton's
-
So, I got myself into a situation where I am going to be representing Walton’s in a mechanical bull riding competition tonight…I haven’t ridden a horse in 20 years or more let alone a mechanical bull. Any tips so I don’t make a complete fool out of myself?

Jonathon No comment on your “momentary lapse in judgement”.
Have you considered calling in at the last minute and telling them you tested positive for The Vid and are in self-quarantine? Tell them you know a member of the Walton clan who is happy to be a stand-in for you…

Go with the flow and hang on tight and have a couple of drinks prior to limber up.

I think this is going to be one of those “Jon being unreasonably stubborn” things and I don’t think I am going to be shaken off by either pain or tired muscles. I’ve already determined that no injury is going to make me quit if I am not balanced enough or not strong enough okay, but I won’t be just giving up no matter how sore or tired I get!
Honestly though, I just REALLY want to make it out of the first round! And yes, a drink before hand is in the plan!

hunter43 Thats my thought, eventually it’ll stop, one way or another Bob Stehlik Not sure how hard this guy is going to make the bull work but I don’t think the standard 8-seconds is going to get me past the first round!

Jonathon don’t show up, you have a sprained back that just came on?
If you do go, then hopefully you are not broke back mountain!
Good luck, hope you win! -
I would suggest having someone film the event. Nothing bad ever happens when there is a camera going

Jonathon All you have to do is keep your hat on you. If you can keep your hat & not lose it, you have got it! Its that easy!

Drink after, not before. Grip with your knees and legs–it’s mechanical, you can’t hurt it! keep your neck steady (don’t let your head flop.) If it spins, drop your eyes to the “beast”–don’t get disoriented. And enjoy yourself no matter what.

Jonathon do not wear shorts and don’t get drunk beforehand. You will need the alcohol afterwards.
