Received my cutting board yesterday for 1000 posts, think I am just going to use it for a serving tray, seems to be just too nice to cut on. Thanks Waltons!

Bob Dole
Kansas is laying to rest a great man and America is laying to rest a hero today. He is a man that can show all of us what strength and perseverance can do. RIP Bob Dole.

RE: I’m confused
HerbcoFood The way to tell is to get the cow to give you high five before processing, then you will know if they are right handed or left handed.

RE: Best Caliber for Deer and maybe larger
30-06 is a tough round to beat, it is very versatile. You can buy loads from 110 grain up to 220 grain with (my opinion) 150, 165 and 180 being the best for this rifle. I shoot 165 with good results. I have always said if I was going to own one caliber it would be 30-06.

RE: Self-Reliance: How do you?
Jonathon I had a friend that raised pheasants, you would be surprised at the many different breeds there are out there. He had a pretty big set up and I would help. We collected eggs put them in the incubator and watching them grow from chicks to adults was very interesting.

RE: Bacon Salty
Denny O Nothing wrong with staying with what works and you like. I have not made bacon yet but is on my to do list and I read a lot of posts that have trouble with the salt content.

RE: What did everyone cook today?
Grimpuppy They look awesome. I need to get my freezer cleaned out so I can make a batch of summer sausage and snack sticks. With summer coming on I will be doing a lot of grilling so that should help with the space.

JustinT Welcome to the family, I think you picked a very good company to work for. I hate to say this but follow Jon around and learn from him, even though he is team blue, I think he will be a good teacher. Oh and make sure to sign up to be a “Team Orange” member. As far as a sausage, maybe start with a fresh sausage, quick and easy results.
