RE: What's your camping style??
Kurt Ratzlaff I love all kinds of camping. I prefer a tent (and an air mattress not that I’m older
). I’ve spent nights out under the stars with nothing but a bed roll. Gone canoe camping and slept next to a fire along the river. Hunkered down inside a tent during rainstorms, and even on a bed of straw in a small tent at 8 below in the snow. In my 20s I built a wickiup and a rope bed and stayed in it for several days. I’ve always loved sleeping outside. My first camp out without my parents was in my backyard, I was 4. I slept out quite a bit growing up.

Butter basted porterhouse and baked potato

RE: Ask a butcher
processhead this is something I’ve read before too. The other explanation is more common, but not completely proven to be accurate. I think either explanation is acceptable since the exact origin is unknown. Having a story helps people remember and understand that the “butt” is not the rear end of the animal.

RE: Ask a butcher
Came across this well written explanation of why we call the upper portion of the pork shoulder “butts”. This is from an Instagram post by meat_musings. I think her write up is very comprehensive
