    • RE: What does everyone do for a profession?

Retired FL. Correctional Officer, in 2015 with 35 years. Now teach Basic Recruit Corrections and Law Enforcement. Firearms, First Aid, Driving and Defensive Tactics. We butchered hogs and smoked them when I was growing up. Still have a smoke house, but too big for my current use. Have a grits Mill, and the wife and I grind corn for other people and when I can manage to grow some, we bag a sell to the local community.

    • RE: Hi Temp Cheese

I had some that was in shipping for about 12 days. When it got in it was fine. Nothing growing on it. Took a small taste, was good. Sealed the bag and tossed it in the fridge waiting for the next grind.

Seen a lot. Hope I don’t have to go back. Will stick with training the Recruits. Hunting fishing and processing my kills.

    • RE: What are you hunting/fishing?

Most of the time the bucks here stay nocturnal, we get some game camera photos. No good bucks yet, but it’s early. I go up to S. Carolina to hunt, larger deer population.

    • RE: 12 in. Slicer

For all of you that gave me guidance, thank you. Just finished repacking the slicer, Walton’s emailed me a return label for the slicer and will send me a replacement, once this one returns. Thank you Walton’s great customer service, wished we didn’t have to go through this from the start. Will ship it back tomorrow.
