PK 100 Cover
-
What do y’all use to cover your PK 100 when you aren’t using it? A tarp or blanket works, but does anyone have a more ingenious or sexier way of doing it?
-
TexLaw We use a cover specifically for it but sadly, we no longer carry this. I can check to see if it is something we could potentially special order if you are really interested?
-
TexLaw i just use the plastic bag it came with, however that isnt gonna last forever
-
Jonathon I’d appreciate it if you would look into it. I have found a few options that can work but nothing that’s just right. Of course, cost is a factor.
twilliams I’m doing the same thing. I have even considered just going with a tarp or even a large trash bag when the shipping bag finally goes south on me, but I also don’t mind laying out a few bucks for something a little classier.

TexLaw Sorry, I had our purchasing check and they apparently aren’t making them anymore. I also checked to see if we had any of the Weston Vertical Smoker covers left and we don’t, sorry!

If you know someone with a sewing have them make you one. My daughter in law just made a cover for my dehydrator. Has a Walton’s sticker on the front. I’ll probably post a pic. -
Interesting they only sell blue custom covers. No orange covers.

Dave R Jonathon they have full and half racks in clear and black, as well as different gauge film and disposable. Shop around. Dr.

Speaking of covers. My daughter in law finished that cover for the dehydrator. Austin supplied me a sticker and done deal. Nice little touch. That nice “orange” on top looks good too.

PapaSop While I disapprove of your Orange Propaganda, I do like the idea and results of the cover!

I wanted to follow up on this. I did order a cover from https://www.coversandall.com/. With the COVID situation, it took three months to get here (I think the original estimated time was about 3 weeks), but it was well worth the wait. I like this cover. It seems like very good quality–very heavy duty. I did get the “Cover Tuff” fabric, which is the most expensive, but I got it with the intention that my PK 100 will live outside in the elements. I like to buy things only once, if possible, and I don’t expect to have to replace this cover anytime soon at all. It ain’t much to look at, but I didn’t buy it to look at it.
For everyone’s reference, these are the measurements I used:
- Height : 48"
- Width : 22.5"
- Depth : 21"
If I were to get it again, I would probably put the height at 46", as I neglected to figure in that it would hang down from the control panel. It’s so long that the cover gets under the castors when I roll it around. That’s no big deal because I can just hitch it up a little when I move the cooker around, but it’s also a waste of fabric and money. I wouldn’t change the width or depth, though. If it were any tighter, it would be too difficult to put on, but any looser would be a waste of fabric and money.
Other than the fabric, I didn’t add any upgrades. The drawstrap tiedowns sounded good enough for me, and I’m happy I went with those. They look to be good quality, as well and include clips, so that you only have to adjust the once.
The total cost was $62.01, including shipping and the “welcome” discount they were running at the time.
Great product!

TexLaw Awesome, thanks for giving people the dimension too, that would help anyone wanting to do the same!
