Today was one of those very interesting days. It rained most of the day and I didn’t do a lot. Then with an hour left of shift a lady was in labor less than a mile from me. To make a long story short…I got to delivery a baby today! A healthy baby boy. It makes all those really bad calls worth it! Got my stork pin!!!

ND Mike amen. In 32 years I did alot of things, but never delivered a baby. Being in the city, we had the luxury of having Fire and EMS on scene fairly quick. Its awesome you will have the memory of this experience the rest of your career and your entire life. Good work and way to represent.

In the 70’s I was transporting a vietnamese lady in labor. 5 mins from hospital she says “baby come” and boom I’m catching my first newborn. As we are wrapping the baby and pulling in she says baby come we said yeah shes fine she says NO!Baby come boom twins. You will remember this day the rest of your life congrats!

ND Mike Great job & congratulations to you. I got to pull a tooth for someone once, but never delivered a baby (other than helping my wife & that does not count relative to what you have done). That is amazing.
